BEAM TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern your use of the BEAM TV mobile app, BEAM TV Full, BEAM TV Lite, the BEAM cloud service, and beamtv.app. Please read them carefully before using BEAM.
Effective August 25, 2026
1. Provider and contact details
BEAM is provided by PRIMECODE SOLUTIONS SRL (“PRIMECODE,” “we,” “us”), a Romanian limited liability company, CUI 50939602, Trade Registry No. J2024044285005, with its registered office at Str. Gramont 38, Et. 6, Ap. 17, Sector 4, 040182 Bucharest, Romania.
Support: support@beamtv.app.
Privacy: privacy@beamtv.app.
2. Acceptance, eligibility, and authority
By downloading, installing, creating an account for, purchasing, or using BEAM, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use BEAM. If you use BEAM for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms.
You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. BEAM is not directed to children under 16. A person who has not reached the age of legal capacity where they live may use BEAM only with valid permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Local law may give you rights that cannot be waived by contract; these Terms do not restrict those rights.
3. Product names and service scope
BEAM TV is the iOS and Android mobile app. BEAM TV Full is the TV edition with a built-in player and, when authorized, independent provider browsing. BEAM TV Lite is the smaller TV receiver that uses separately installed VLC for Android. “BEAM” means these apps, their cloud features, and this website together.
BEAM is a player, organizer, and remote-control companion for a media service you already use. BEAM does not supply or sell channels, movies, series, playlists, media URLs, provider accounts, provider subscriptions, or viewing rights. BEAM is not a cable, satellite, or IPTV provider.
Some features require compatible devices, an Internet connection, a local network, a BEAM account, an independent provider account, Premium, or a separately installed app. Requirements shown in the app or store listing form part of the feature description.
4. License to use BEAM
Subject to these Terms, PRIMECODE grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the applicable BEAM app on devices you own or control, or on devices permitted by the relevant app-store household rules, for lawful private use. No ownership in BEAM or PRIMECODE technology is transferred to you.
Except where applicable law or an open-source license expressly permits it, you may not copy, distribute, rent, sell, sublicense, circumvent access controls, extract proprietary source code, or create a derivative work from proprietary BEAM components. You may not use BEAM branding in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement. Restrictions in this paragraph do not prevent lawful interoperability, security research, or exercise of open-source rights.
5. Your provider, content, and legal responsibility
You choose and configure the independent media provider used with BEAM. You are responsible for ensuring that:
- you are authorized to use the provider account and credentials;
- you have the rights needed to access and play the selected media;
- your use complies with copyright, communications, export, sanctions, and other applicable laws;
- your use complies with the provider’s contract and any household, location, or connection limits;
- information you enter is accurate and does not impersonate or harm another person.
PRIMECODE does not verify, host, curate, endorse, or control your provider’s catalog. Availability, legality, accuracy, quality, subtitles, metadata, connection limits, and playback compatibility remain the provider’s responsibility. Do not use BEAM to access infringing streams or material you are not authorized to receive.
6. Accounts and security
Playback on mobile and same-network TV pairing can work without a durable BEAM account. Synchronizing a TV link across phones and using cloud-backed features require a signed-in BEAM account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting your email account, passwords, devices, recovery methods, and connected TVs.
Notify support@beamtv.app promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Unlink unfamiliar TVs, revoke provider grants, and change the independent provider password when appropriate. We may require email verification, reauthentication, app/device-integrity checks, or other reasonable security steps before a sensitive action.
You may delete your BEAM account in the app or at beamtv.app/delete-account. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription and does not delete your independent provider account.
7. Pairing, shared TVs, and provider grants
A BEAM TV QR is stable for that app installation and contains the bootstrap information needed to authenticate the TV locally. Pairing succeeds only while the TV presents an active approval screen; that window closes after one phone succeeds. Do not publish or share a saved QR image with someone you do not trust to pair while that screen is open. Local pairing is tied to the phone and TV installations, not a BEAM account, and can remain after account sign-out or deletion until a user forgets or resets it. An optional cloud-linked TV may be shared with more than one BEAM account. Each user is responsible for pairing only devices they trust and for respecting other users of a shared TV.
A Premium provider owner may explicitly grant one selected provider account to a paired BEAM TV Full installation for 24 hours, three days, seven days, or until revoked. The recipient TV can use that credential independently during the grant. Create a grant only for a TV you control or trust. Revoking a BEAM grant stops future authorized BEAM use but cannot change the credential at the independent provider; change the provider password if the TV or credential may have been compromised. BEAM TV Lite cannot receive provider grants.
8. Free features and advertising
The Free mobile app may display Google Mobile Ads. Where required, advertising choices are presented in the app. The TV editions are ad-free. A Free user may choose to view a rewarded ad to unlock mobile playback on that installation for 24 hours. A reward is granted only after the advertising service confirms completion. An unavailable or incomplete ad grants no playback access.
Free features, limits, and ad formats may change prospectively as BEAM evolves. We will not charge you without an affirmative store purchase. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
9. BEAM Premium subscriptions
BEAM Premium is offered through the mobile app as monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions where available. Premium currently removes mobile ads and the rewarded-playback gate and enables supported cloud library sync, remote cloud commands, multiple remembered and encrypted provider backups, and explicit provider grants to BEAM TV Full. The purchase screen and store checkout show the current features, billing period, localized price, taxes, and any trial or introductory terms before purchase.
- Merchant and payment. Apple App Store or Google Play bills your store account. We do not receive your complete card or bank details. RevenueCat helps us determine entitlement status.
- Renewal. Unless the checkout says otherwise, Premium renews automatically for the selected period until you cancel through the store. The store charges the price displayed for the next period according to its notice and billing rules.
- Cancellation. You can cancel in Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while Premium continues through the paid period. Deleting BEAM or your BEAM account does not cancel it.
- Restoration and account binding. Use Restore purchases while signed in to the intended BEAM account. A store purchase may be associated with that durable account so Premium can work consistently across supported devices.
- Expiry and grace. Existing multi-provider access and TV grants may continue for seven days after Premium expires. New Premium-only providers or grants cannot be added during grace. After grace, Free limits apply and affected TV grants are revoked. If more backups remain than Free permits, BEAM preserves them but requires you to reduce them to the Free limit or renew Premium before affected credential operations.
- Refunds and statutory rights. Refund requests are administered under the purchasing store’s rules and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes a mandatory right to a refund, conformity remedy, cancellation, or withdrawal. Where the law provides a withdrawal period for digital services, immediate performance affects that right only when the legally required request, consent, and acknowledgment have been validly obtained.
10. App stores and third-party services
The store that distributes an app may impose additional terms for download, family sharing, billing, refunds, and use of its platform. Store terms control those store services; these Terms control the BEAM service, subject to mandatory law. The mobile app is distributed through Apple App Store and Google Play. Amazon Appstore distribution is limited to BEAM TV Full where offered; Premium is not purchased in the TV app.
On Apple platforms, Apple’s applicable licensed-application terms also apply. PRIMECODE, not Apple, is responsible for BEAM support, maintenance, product claims, and claims that BEAM infringes third-party intellectual property, except to the extent applicable law or store terms provide otherwise. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the provisions applicable to the iOS app and may enforce them as permitted by the store terms.
BEAM interoperates with services and software operated by Google, Apple, Amazon, RevenueCat, Firebase, VideoLAN, and your provider. Their terms and conditions and privacy policies apply independently. BEAM is not sponsored, endorsed, or certified by those parties or by any media provider unless expressly stated.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use BEAM for unlawful access, piracy, infringement, fraud, harassment, or abuse;
- share or use credentials without the account holder’s authorization;
- probe, attack, overload, disrupt, or bypass BEAM accounts, pairing, rate limits, integrity checks, or access controls;
- upload malware or use automation that harms the service or other users;
- misrepresent affiliation with PRIMECODE or use BEAM commercially to provide an unauthorized media service;
- use BEAM in a way that violates an app-store rule applicable to you.
These restrictions do not prohibit activity protected by mandatory law or an applicable open-source license. If you conduct good-faith security research, avoid accessing other users’ data and report a vulnerability privately to security@beamtv.app.
12. Privacy
The BEAM Privacy Policy explains what data BEAM processes, why, the parties involved, retention, international processing, and your choices and rights. By using a feature that sends credentials or playback data to the cloud, you direct BEAM to process that information as described in the feature disclosure and Privacy Policy.
13. Intellectual property and open source
PRIMECODE and its licensors retain all rights in BEAM’s proprietary software, service, visual design, trademarks, and content. You retain your rights in information you provide. You authorize BEAM to process that information only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service and as described in the Privacy Policy.
BEAM includes open-source components, including multimedia libraries used by the built-in players. Each component remains governed by its applicable license. If an open-source license conflicts with these Terms for that component, the open-source license controls. Nothing here restricts rights granted by such a license, including rights to corresponding source, notices, replacement, modification, or reverse engineering needed to debug permitted modifications.
License texts, notices, source packages, checksums, and available rebuild or replacement information are published at beamtv.app/open-source. Source requests may be sent to support@beamtv.app.
14. Service availability, updates, and changes
Networks, providers, device platforms, app stores, integrity services, and media formats can change outside our control. We do not promise that every provider, URL, codec, device, or third-party service will remain compatible. Maintenance, security incidents, capacity limits, legal requirements, or third-party outages may interrupt a feature.
We may update BEAM to fix defects, improve security, add or remove functionality, comply with law, or maintain compatibility. Some updates may be required for cloud features. For paid digital services, we will provide notices and remedies required by mandatory consumer law when a change materially and negatively affects access or use.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using BEAM and delete your account at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, unlawful use, a security threat, harm to users or infrastructure, a valid legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate and lawful, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.
Termination ends the proprietary BEAM license and access to cloud features. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including payment obligations already incurred, intellectual-property ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute rules, and open-source rights—continue to apply. Store subscription cancellation remains a separate action.
16. Warranties and statutory conformity
We will provide BEAM with the reasonable care and skill required by applicable law. Mandatory guarantees, digital-content conformity rights, and remedies remain unaffected.
Beyond those mandatory obligations, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, BEAM is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every provider or device, permanent availability of a third-party service, or the legality, accuracy, quality, and availability of media supplied by others. You are responsible for backups and for maintaining access to your independent provider account.
17. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, gross negligence or willful misconduct where applicable, or breach of mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that paragraph, PRIMECODE is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, business interruption, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by an unauthorized provider service, your breach of a provider contract, a third-party outage, or your failure to protect credentials, when such loss was not reasonably foreseeable or was outside PRIMECODE’s reasonable control.
Where the law permits a monetary cap, PRIMECODE’s aggregate liability arising from BEAM is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for BEAM during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or EUR 50. This cap does not apply where mandatory law requires a higher or uncapped remedy. Nothing here requires a consumer to compensate PRIMECODE for ordinary lawful use.
18. Governing law and disputes
Please contact support@beamtv.app first so we can try to resolve a concern. These Terms are governed by Romanian law, without applying rules that would deprive a consumer of mandatory protections of the country where they habitually reside.
The competent courts of Bucharest, Romania have jurisdiction for disputes, except that a consumer may bring or defend proceedings in any court available under mandatory consumer law. Consumers may also use a competent consumer-protection authority or legally available alternative-dispute process. We do not require private arbitration or waive class or collective remedies where such a requirement or waiver would be unlawful.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect product, legal, security, or business changes. The current version will be posted here with its effective date. We will provide additional advance notice when a material change requires it. A change does not retroactively remove rights already accrued. If you do not accept a prospective change, you may stop using BEAM and cancel Premium before the next renewal.
20. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, feature disclosures, applicable store terms, and open-source licenses are the agreement governing BEAM.
- Severability. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the remaining provisions continue.
- No waiver. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent, except where mandatory law permits. We may transfer it as part of a reorganization, financing, or sale while preserving applicable rights and notices.
- No partnership. These Terms do not create employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, or fiduciary duties.
- Language. The English version governs to the extent permitted by law. A mandatory local-language interpretation controls where applicable law requires it.
